SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 10.1
Considered the iPad killer by man, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is simply an amazing machine available in 16GB and 32GB in Wi-Fi and 3G versions. A massive 10.1 inch screen with 1280×800 resolution and 1Ghz dual core Tegra processor and front and back cameras, 1GB RAM weighing 565g and it comes with Flash support. The look and feel of the tablet is nothing short of spectacular. It is one of the sleekest tablets out there. The look and feel of the tablet is said to be better than that of the iPad2.
Please note that this is not the same as Galaxy Tab 10.1V which has an 8.0MP back camera.
MOTORALA XOOM
This was the first tablet to hit the shelves with the Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS but the price tag makes it a bit out of the average users range with a moderate budget. All tablet manufacturers are making the iPad2 the benchmark and are trying their best to beat it. The Xoom comes equipped with 1Ghz dual core Tegra processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB storage, 1280 x 800 resolution and is heavier than all the other tablets out there weighing 730g and both front and back cameras. The 10.1 inch display makes it perfect for video viewing.
ACER ICONIA A500
Performance wise, the Acer Iconia A500 is similar to most tablets running Android 3.0 Honeycomb but it doesn’t have anything interesting to stand by it. It comes with a 1Ghz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, 16 & 32GB storage weighing 770g and with 1280×800 resolution, perfect with high-resolution viewing, it also has front (2MP) and back (5MP)cameras but the camera quality isn’t that great. The overall experience is decent enough to own one and for the price tag, it will be perfect for your first tablet.
Almost every tablet available except the Apple iPad support Flash 10, however updates need to be downloaded from the Android Market. One would notice immediately that I have not mentioned the iPad anywhere, this is because the above three machines provide users with a better user experience than the iPad. Now some might say that I’ve gone completely mad and I need to be institutionalized, I would disagree.
