Samsung’s latest fully connected camera for 2011 is the compact, Wi-Fi enabled SH100. The camera’s built in Wi-Fi capability means that consumers can automatically back up their shots to their PC by pushing just two buttons, or use Samsungs AllShare which uses DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) to help them connect to their HDTV or PC and see the photos and videos straight away. The camera is also capable of streaming content wirelessly.
This makes it easy for the consumers to upload your pictures instantly to their social networking sites such as Facebook, Picasa or Photo Bucket, or to email them to individual email addresses straight from the camera through Wi-Fi. Consumers can also record HD video and share the recorded moments over social networking sites like YouTube. The Wi-Fi capability also allows the consumer to use their Samsung android base Galaxy smart-phone as a remote control, accessing all the features of the camera through the smart-phone, and a viewing device for their camera.

The camera can also use the smart-phones GPS capabilities to record the location coordinates of the images taken. The camera is capable of capturing a 14.2 Megapixel picture with a 26mm Wide Angle Lens and is also equipped with a 5X optical zoom for close up shots. SH100 is also equipped with Samsung’s new touch based Smart Touch UI (user interface) which enables users to drag, click and control ‘app-style’ icons, easily flip through photos, and control a range of the camera’s features quickly and intuitively.
